I Am In My Fourth Trimester, What Can I do?

What is the Fourth Trimester?

The first 12 weeks postpartum are considered the Fourth Trimester. This can be a very stressful time for new mothers. Aside from having a new life to care for, our bodies are in recovery which for many women can include pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, or even just the fear of returning to exercise or the unknown.

Why is it important to see a Pelvic floor Physical therapist postpartum?

Physical therapists are here to help promote healing. You are healing every day postpartum. However, without the proper guidance, small problems can turn into big ones, and there is a lot of misinformation out there that could be putting a halt to your recovery. It goes without saying that your body has gone through an incredible change, and we can help meet you where you are in order to provide guidance, support, and proper healing. Our goals for all our mommas are to help you feel strong, capable, and fearless.
